She named one daughter Eliza Barton Walsby
In 1851 there is an Eliza Barton age 25 at 53 West St Stepney - her mother?
NB: this theory is unlikely because the Barton name already appears in the Walsby line - Sarah had a sister-in-law named Rebecca Barton Walsby.
Sarah was very consistent with the information she gave in the 1871, 1881, 1891 census returns:
Age: 18; 28; 39
Place of Birth: Ratcliffe; Middlesex; St George E
Perhaps searching the 1852/53 parish registers for the district would produce a likely illegitimate Sarah
likely churches are:
SHADWELL, St.Paul, High Street
St George in the East, St Dunstan
